Upsize

Top: Free People (here) | Bag: Daily Look (here and in different colors) | Flats: Target | Necklace: Forever21 (sold out, loving these here) | Sunglasses: Zara
Depending on where I buy my clothes, my clothes range from XS to an XL. I know that my measurements fluctuate quite a bit, but all in all, I know it’s not me. I remember the days when I refused to purchase something if the size number was too big. Yep, we’ve all been there. If you claim to be a certain size, you’re either lying through your teeth or you shop for all your clothes in one store.
I love anything oversize and baggy so this top definitely fit the bill. I have a few pieces from Free People and I just love the quality of their clothes. It has to be the magic fabrics they use because the shirts wash and dry beautifully with no detectable fading or shrinking. Their clothes run larger so it’s always a thrill when I can put on an XS and still devour a huge meal.

A-Line Fit

Skirt: The Gap (Similar here) | Heels: Nine West (Similar here)  | Clutch: The Gap | Top: DKNY

I just want to mention how amazed I am with the quality of these photos that were taken with my iphone. We usually take the camera along with us wherever we go, but what is a girl supposed to do when we forget it at home? Iphone! My husband was pretty happy that it took about half the time to take these than it would with our camera. hehe.
Anyway, I've virtually been searching for an A-line skirt to add to my wardrobe and couldn't be more happier when a friend gifted me one. I could be wrong, but I swear that this skirt looks good on every woman regardless of shape. It cinches at the waist yet glides away from the thigh area. Can anyone say Halleluiah. It can't be any more forgiving than this!
Ya call me crazy, but I did end up wearing this outfit to run errands. Some days just call for heels!  For an everyday wear, I would pair this skirt with a crop top and a pair of sandals.

Vibrant Blue

Romper: c/o SheInside (here) | Shoes: Spring | Bag: Zara | Denim Vest: Asos

I do have to say that this is the season for rompers and playsuits for me. It's definitely not time consuming to put together in the mornings. This backless romper is from Sheinside and I think this is the perfect fit as it's not too short and not too tight. They do have quite the selection of rompers in different vibrant colors. I would recommend getting a size up from your regular when buying rompers from their site. I find that wearing rompers that are a little bit looser looks better when it's relaxed over your curves. Easy breezy right?

This is a backless romper but I opted in throwing over a denim vest on top to give it a more modest look. I paired it with nude tie up sandals that was gifted to me a couple years ago. What do you think?

Vintage Friday

Thrifting has become a hobby of mine and I can't stop. It's a hit or miss when I go, but lately I've been finding the cutest things. There are so many trends that I want to try out but unfortunately, my wallet doesn't always allow me to make these purchases. Fortunately, you don't need to spend a fortune try out trends. You just have to have a lot of patience to go through racks and racks of clothing. I browse mainstream brands like Forever21 and Zara and see what they sell to give me an idea on what trends I want to try out. I also get inspiration from Pinterest and other bloggers. A lot of people may not like the idea of second hand clothing, but it's never really bothered me. I always examine the pieces before taking them home to prevent thrifting catastrophes. I eyeball them for stains, pill balls, or any signs of damage to ensure that it's still in good shape. Most importantly, I always make sure that it's clean and odor free before I make the purchase, otherwise it's not worth the purchase.

All the pieces I purchased here looked like they were in great condition. There were even tags on some of them! Talk about a win!
Jacket: French Connection
Loved this color and have been searching for the perfect mustard jacket. This one is a heavy material so it will be perfect for winter...I live in Edmonton so winter is always just around the corner.
Blazer: Silence and Noise (Urban Outfitters)
I can never have enough blazers.
Blazer: Christian Dior
Yep, this one is my favourite purchase probably because of the color and it's Christian Dior. The thrifting gods were definetely with me the day I purchased this.
Skirt: Joseph Ribkoff
Been in search for bandage skirts as they are my favourite type of skirt to wear. They are flattering on my body type and love wearing them with blouses or crop tops! This was a little big on me but the material is made of such great quality that I don't mind just sewing it to fit me.
Denim shirt: Jcrew
Last but not least, a denim shirt. Just because this girl can never have enough denim in her life.

I enjoyed treasure hunting for these pieces and hope I inspired some of you.

Florals and Frills

Top: c/o Sheinside (here) | Shoes: Steve Madden (craving these here)Pants: Lovers and friends via Revolve Clothing (here) | Bracelet: Forever21 (old)

Well guys, here's another post that features florals and my second piece from Sheinside. I thought this would be the perfect combo as nothing can be more girlier than a mini peplum and a floral print!

I'm usually all for oversized and roomy shirts but when I want to dress things up, I go for tops that hug my body a little bit. I'm not a big fan of peplums myself as they make even the skinniest girls look bigger than they really are. Although, I do love the idea of the overskirt but just not all the way around. When I found this one from Sheinside, I thought it would be perfect to try out the trend as the overskirt lay just on the sides. The best place to have it in my opinion! It just hugs in all the right places.

Leopard and Pink

Jacket: Zara (similar here) | Shoes: Target (similar and on sale here) | Necklace: Forever21 | Belt: Target | Clutch: Banana Republic (want this here) Pants: Rachel Roy via Winners

Happy Monday! This weekend went by way too fast. I spent my weekend mostly with my bff Denean, as she will be moving away to Vancouver in April. We spent all of Saturday morning filming a fun shoot which I will have up soon on my blog. I can't wait to share it with you guys!

On to the outfit, I bring this pink coat with me whenever I wear a simple black and white outfit like this one. I added the leopard accessories because I love me some prints and a gold necklace to dress it up a bit. Hope you like it!

Lovers & Friends | Spring Essentials

Jean Jacket: Forever21 (Similar here) |  Sunglasses: Forever21 | Crop top: Topshop (Craving these)| Pants: Lovers and Friends (here) | Shoes: H&M | Earrings: Winners (Similar here) | Bag: Armani

I'm sure you all know by now that there's nothing like a pair of floral print pants to brighten up my day. Lovers & Friends carries this print in a maxi dress, jumpsuit, and a bomber jacket. I wanted all of it, but of course my wallet wouldn't allow it. I paired them with my basics to show you my spring essentials.

Jean Jacket: Just like a trench coat, this is a basic that will never go out of style. I wear mine often with a tee or with a dress for the "casual chic" look.

Patent Bag: Just to swap out my usual black leather bag I lug around all winter, I wore a patented black bag for a more polished look.

Open toe heels: Every girl needs this in their closet. I love the chunkier heel on this because it was comfortable enough to walk around with all day. I start wearing mine during this time of the year as I don't plan on trudging through the snow with open toes in -40 weather.

Crop top: Here's a basic white crop top that's so versatile to put over a dress, high waist pants, high waist pencil skirts.....high waist everything! You get the point.

What do you think? What's your spring essentials?

Kiss Kiss

Forever21 boots
H&M skirt and sweatshirt

A pencil skirt is a year round staple that makes me feel dressed up and elegant. From the office to a night out, you can create a classic look with this skirt. I wanted to pair this skirt with studded boots and a sweatshirt to give a casual vibe. What do you think of this combo?
